Prince Harry still craves his mother’s approval nearly 20 years after her death.

The 31-year-old royal opened up about the 1997 death of Princess Diana in an interview with Robin Roberts for “Good Morning America” Friday.

“I think losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life massively,” he said. “Of course, it does, and now I find myself trying to be there and give advice to other people who are in similar positions.”

Prince Harry was just 12 years old when his mother, Princess Diana, one of the most photographed women in the world was killed in a car crash in Paris after being chased by paparazzi.

The Prince appeared on the morning show to publicize the 2016 Invictus Games, being held in May in Orlando. The sporting event is an international gathering of wounded or sick veterans who compete in sports like wheelchair basketball and sitting volleyball. It is a cause close to Harry’s heart as he has served in Afghanistan.

“I hope that a lot of my mother’s talents are shown in a lot of the work I do, Harry revealed. “I hope she’s looking down, you know, with tears in her eyes, being incredibly proud of what we’ve established, I suppose.”

Harry also admitted that he’s sure his mother would love her playboy son to settle down and have kids of his own.

“I can’t wait for the day. So, you know, it will be fantastic,” he enthused.

“I’ve got a kid inside of me. I want to keep that. I adore kids. I enjoy everything that they bring to the party. They just say what they think.”
